Amina holds a degree in Strategic Design and Management with a focus in sustainable clothing production from Parsons, The New School for Design. She spent a year in Paris developing a design-based, fair trade marketplace that creates connections between textile communities to promote sustainable growth. Upon returning to New York, she created Cadre, a brand she’s developed from up-cycled scrap fabrics sourced from her work as a liaison between international textile mills and fashion brands in New York and beyond.

Today Amina continues to source fabric for clients in New York, where her work has been featured in Vogue, while making rugs and accessories for her brand Cadre. Most recently, she started a homewares brand with her partner in the Catskills, Great Indoors.
